Bayer AG is represented by its Crop Science division in Frankfurt. Crop Science handles Bayer’s agricultural operations with businesses in seeds, crop protection and non-agricultural pest control.
Bayer has a workforce of around 620 at Industriepark Höchst. Some 290 of them work in two production plants and an associated storage facility to make various herbicide active ingredients for worldwide agricultural use. Bayer’s herbicide research operations are also based in Frankfurt. Its roughly 330 employees investigate new ways to sustainably control weeds in chemical and biological research laboratories and greenhouses.
